The building has street-level retail space and offices with high ceilings, panoramic views of the ocean and mountains, modern fire detection and extensive earthquake reinforcement. We have onsite management and maintenance staff able to respond immediately to service calls.

The Balboa Building is located in the center of the downtown business district and the main entrance to the Paseo Nuevo Mall.
GETTING HERE & parking
The Balboa Building is conveniently located in the center of Santa Barbara.
Access from 101 N – exit at Bath Street.
Access from 101 S – exit at Carillo Street.
The closest parking lot is located on Chapala Street, which runs parallel to State Street. Parking near the center of the lot near the elevators provides easiest access. Parking is free for 75 min. Limited parking is also available at De La Guerra Plaza (max. 75 min). For other nearby parking lots, try Parkopedia.

The Balboa Building was originally called The Central Building, and has been home to many businesses over the years, including The Bank of Italy and Woolworth's 5, 10 and 15 Cents Store.
HISTORY
Built in 1924, the building was originally named The Central Building and has always had a prominent place in Santa Barbara history. Please visit the Santa Barbara Downtown website for more history about the area.
MANAGEMENT
The Robertson Family purchased the building in 1973 and have owned and privately managed it ever since.
